The FOMPA year has kicked off with a very successful Launch event in late March.
Blessed with balmy weather and a host of eager parents, the Launch began with an exclusive sneak-peek of the Marcellin and OLMC production Footloose.
After being dazzled by the singing and dancing talents of our young performers, parents and students alike migrated to the Functions Room balcony for some well-earned sausages. The entertainment continued, however, with a variety of small ensemble performances to accompany the BBQ and chit-chat; including some incredible solos from some of the college's most talented students.
A huge shout-out to the music and performing arts staff - Matt, Melissa, Natalie, and Clive - for coordinating such an outstanding musical showcase, and to the students who made themselves available to perform.
Likewise, a special mention must also go to George Stavrakakis, who saved the day with his quick thinking and ready BBQ!
Finally, many thanks to everyone who came along and made the evening such a special one. The relaxed atmosphere made for a great opportunity for parents and students to mingle, plan, and get excited about the college's performing arts program.
